Jon Stewart extends his Daily Show run through 2028
Monday hosting and the programme’s rotating weekday format will continue.

Jon Stewart will remain the Monday host of The Daily Show through December 2028, Skydance Television announced on 19 October. He will also continue as an executive producer.
The renewal preserves the programme’s shared hosting arrangement. Its news team will take the desk from Tuesday to Thursday, with Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic among the regular participants.
Stewart remains an executive producer alongside showrunner Jen Flanz and his longtime manager James Dixon. The programme airs at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, with episodes available the following day on Paramount+.
The company said the show had recorded its strongest third-quarter television audience in eight years. That audience claim comes from the broadcaster’s announcement, rather than a separate analysis by The Meridian.
